Anime In Depth: Evangelion

Evangelion is one of my favorites when it comes to actions and robots in anime. I usually don't watch these types but this one is really good though.

Evangelion is definitely one of the classics of the animes. It was first on air on 1995.

But the one I'm talking about is the movie remake series which has been very good so far.

It's a different story compared to the original.

Evangelion 1.0 You are (NOT) alone,

Evangelion 2.0 You can (NOT) advance

Evangelion 3.0 You can (NOT) redo
which just came out this year.

So the Anime is set in the future, where the earth's south pole melted and half the population in earth died.
Even in those horrible events, there are things called "shidou(not sure what in english"
they're basically monsters.
And Evangelion, the humanoids try to save the world from them.
That is the basic background. The story gets much more complex.

These aren't just robots, since it is a humanoid and it has organs as well as bleeding. It can get a little gross sometimes.

If there is one thing I don't like, it's the main character. He is a total wimp.

  

 Shinji Ikari(one in middle) is the main character. 

Also, no spoilers but the story kinda get very weird from the 3rd one. It takes place after an incredible incident, and in the future.

Some people might like it some might not.

This is gonna be a 4 movie series so within the next 5 years, there is gonna be the last of the Evangelion Rebuild project coming out. 

This series always sweeps the box office in Japan. Whenever the movies come out, it ALWAYS gets on top of the list.

I'm not going to spoil the rest but this has been my little thoughts on Evangelion series.
